A brief history of the exploits of the Army's 1st Calvery in the Pacific Theater during WWII. Since horses would have never worked in the South Pacific, this became a mechanized division, and has been ever since. Perhaps in this time frame there was consideration at the War Department given to doing away with the calvery; the film appears to be an attempt by this calvery division to use historical significance and unit pride as reasons for its continued existance.
